Clinics We Offer
Asthma / Respiratory & Diabetic Care
These conditions require regular checks by the practice nurse to help you to stay healthy – ask at reception.
Heart Disease
Our practice nurses assist the doctor with treatment of patients with coronary heart disease and how to decrease the risks of developing it.
Minor Surgery
We offer a wide range of minor surgery treatments including wart treatment and skin tag removal, avoiding the need for hospital appointments. Please ask at reception for details.
Contraception & HRT
Advice regarding contraception, including the ‘morning after pill’ are available and follow-up checks are done by the nurse.
Cervical Smears
It is recommended that all women between the ages of 24 and a half and 65 years have a cervical smear test every 3 years in order to prevent cancer of the cervix. An appointment can be made with the practice nurse.
Family Planning Services
We provide a full range of contraceptive services and advice, including oral contraception and injections. If you require emergency contraception please contact the surgery as soon as possible for advice
Adult Immunisation
We recommend that all patients over the age of 65 years and those patients who suffer from chronic illnesses, such as lung disease (bronchitis, asthma, emphysema etc.), heart disorder, kidney disease or diabetes should have a vaccination to prevent influenza each autumn.
Ante-Natal / Maternity Care
Provided by the doctor during normal surgery times and by the midwife. The midwife holds regular Monday & Tuesday clinics.
Child Health Surveillance
The Practice provides child health surveillance services together with our health visitor every Tuesday afternoon in our child health clinic. If you have any worries or concerns about your child's development, please make an appointment to come to the clinic and see the doctor or the health visitor.
A child immunisation clinic is held every Tuesday between 14:00 and 16:00. Please ring and book an appointment.
Smoking Cessation Service
Our nurses are qualified to advice patients who wish to give up smoking.
Phlebotomy
Please ring and make an appointment for your blood. Please allow at least 2 days for your results to be returned. When ringing for results please try and ring between 2 pm and 4 pm.
Community Psychiatric Nurse
We have the services of a team of community psychiatric nurses who are based in the Roslin, Nanat y Gamar Road, Llandudno, where they hold clinics and day care sessions, clinics are also held at Mostyn House Medical Practice. They work in the community providing assessment, counselling and treatment for nervous disorders.
Home Oxygen Therapy
This is now supplied by a company called Air Products, not by a local chemist. Air Products have a 24 hour emergency line that you can contact on 0800 373580.
Mammography
As well as regular breast self-examination, all women aged 50-65 years can have this X-ray test every three years. You should receive an appointment from Breast Test Wales (contactable on 01492 860888) appropriate intervals.
